The Holm Show preparations are well underway.


 Entries close Saturday 6th August 2022.

Raffle and membership will all be on sale from July.

We have several new sections this year, ferrets, best in show Children’s floral Art, Baking and Industrial section kindly donated by the Bethune family.

The show gates at 7.30 am livestock or 8.30 am Industrial with the morning filled with the judging of all sections from 8.45 am with horse class and rest of section 10 am onwards.  Followed by horse and pony jumping, sports, and fancy dress. Lots of entertainment running throughout the afternoon children’s sports, terrier racing, sheaf tossing, and many more rounding off our day with music playing in the bar.

Distribution of Entry numbers.

ENTRANTS TO ALL INDUSTRIAL SECTION CLASSES PLEASE NOTE... On arrival to the show field, please come to the Industrial Tent to collect your class entry numbers before taking your entries to their respective tents. This applies to everyone with entries in classes 200 – 456. If you have any queries about this or if you think this would pose any problems for you, please email me at gilly.fraser@gmail.com and put the words ‘Holm Show’ in the subject line.

All horse and pony numbers can be collected from the secretary’s tent on show day.

Dog numbers can be collected at the Dog Show Ring 4, on the show, day from 9.30 am - 10.45 am. Please use the entry form in the middle of the schedule.

Christmas Card Competition.

A local photograph is to be taken. The winning photograph will be made into a Christmas Card for 2022. Open to all. To be judged on Show Day, entries are free, please use the Industrial entry form. (Three photographs per person maximum). This will be judged by ‘Tub Turnbull II’


If you would like to contribute towards the show our sponsorship starts form £6 per class, advert £16.50, ringside banners £20 per banner, and show day raffle donations are always welcome. Trade stand £9 per meter and table in our craft marquee (£20 per table)

Helpers are always welcome.

New committee members are also welcome we have 7 meetings a year all held in the supper room of the village hall. 7.30 pm winter hours and 8 pm summertime. Even if you can’t commit to meetings helpers are always welcome. We normally have a coffee morning in the spring and supper dance in the autumn. Along with a horse ride/dog walk this is being planned.

We are looking for help on the show week. The show set up will start 6 pm on the 22nd August 2022 and will normally work evenings all that week with Friday afternoon/evening ready for the show on Saturday.
