Coffee Morning

It was terrific to see such a great turnout at

our annual Coffee Morning. I'm sure the lure of

excellent home baking - plus a wonderful array

of both raffle and tombola prizes must have helped!

We raised more than £530 at the coffee morning

which will go towards the running

of this year's Holm Show.

Chairman Philip Hedley took his turn at serving teas

and thanked everyone for coming along

to support the Coffee Morning.

He also thanked all the volunteers and

committee members for their help

and said we couldn't run these events without them.

The next event on our schedule is the AGM on

Tuesday February 19 at 7.30pm in the Village Hall

- new members will be made very welcome.

Then we have our Quiz Night on Saturday February 23,

also in the Village Hall. People can take part

as individuals or in teams of up to four.

It's always guaranteed to be good fun,

so do come along.

Tickets cost £5 and that includes supper. There are prizes for the winning teams and there will also be a raffle on the night.

If you think you're likely to need a little liquid sustenance

to help the brain cells function -

then please BYOB.
